Kaishan Compressor is a leading manufacturer of organic Rankine cycle (ORC) power generation systems. Our products currently generate nearly 100 MW of power in facilities around the world, where they play a key role in curbing CO2 emissions and reducing overall environmental impact.
The Rankine cycle is the scientific name for the idealized thermodynamic cycle of a heat engine. In it, heated fluid expands through a pump to generate energy. The organic Rankine cycle is a newer refinement of this technology, first developed in the 1950s. It uses an organic fluid ?such as n-pentane or toluene ? in place of water. This fluid produces vapors which drive a specially designed generators. The main advantage is that it generates energy from a lower-temperature source and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
